Instructions for your Melasól- & FineFellows-Products

Verwendetes Material beim Schmuck:

  • Silver: We work with sterling silver, an alloy of 92.5% fine silver and 7.5% copper. This is given a highly polished surface in the final work step.
  • Silver antique: Our vintage look where the silver jewellery is blackened with an oxide and repolished again.
  • Silver yellow gold plated: The yellow gold-plated jewellery is coated with 18ct gold. This galvanised layer is applied to the silver jewellery by a specialised company.
  • Silver rosé gold plated: The rose gold-plated jewellery is just like the yellow gold-plated jewellery coated with a layer of 18ct gold by a specialised company. This layer of rose gold darkens over time as the copper in the gold alloy comes into contact with the oxygen in the air.
  • Brass:Alloy of copper and zinc.
  • Bronze:Alloy of copper, zinc and manganese.

Care Instructions FineFellows

To keep your Fine Fellow in top condition, we would like to give you some care tips.

  • Tarnish: Sterling silver tarnishes when it comes into contact with skin, perfume or skin creams. The best prevention: Wear it often. When your Fine Fellow remains on your side, it polishes itself all by itself. However, it is better not to wear it while showering or bathing, sleeping or during strenuous activities.
  • Gentle cleansing: Lukewarm soapy water and a soft toothbrush work wonders.
  • New brilliance: Use a silver polishing cloth to make your Fine Fellow shine again. Beware! Do not use silver polishes or immersion baths. These are too aggressive and may damage the surface of your jewellery.
  • Gold plated: The gold-plated Fine Fellows are galvanically coated and can react sensitively to contact with skin creams, perfume and sweat. Also, it is better not to wear it while showering or bathing, sleeping or during strenuous activities.
  • Re-gilding: If the gold plating wears off over time, the silver will start to shine through. Simply send us your beloved Fine Fellow and we will be happy to re-gild it for you for a reasonable fee.
  • Repair: Has your Fine Fellow suffered an injury and needs repair? We will be happy to discuss the best approach. This way we ensure an excellent repair at a fair price.

Care instructions bridles & co

With an Melasól bridle, halter or bitless bridle you bought a piece of real crafts(wo)manship. It will last a lifetime – with correct care!

To take care, we would like to give you some tips:

  • clean the leather with a mild saddle soap and lukewarm water
  • let the leather dry completely (not on a heating) and grease it (no oil!) if the soap is not fat replenishing
  • the fishleather won’t need a lot of care! Remove dirt with a wet, soft cloth
  • you can clean Fatleather with saddle soap if necessary
  • if metal fitting (brass) tarnish, just polish with a soft cloth

Instruction stirrup holder

Your stirrup holder will be fixed at the D-ring on your saddle with a book screw. Loose the screw (the side with the slit) and open the leather loop. Bring the leather end through the d-ring and place the screw in the leather again to close it. Tighten the screw very hard, so it cannot be lost.

To give an extra secure, give some nail polish or screw fix on the thread and tighten it.
